Kiowa County Release Records
A Kiowa County release is the end of one custodian's hold, not always the end of custody. A person may leave the Kiowa County Jail on bond, recognizance, a court order, time served, or local sentence completion. Those events may return the person to the community. A transfer to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, another county, a federal agency, or immigration custody does not. Does bond mean the charge was dismissed? No. Bond concerns custody before the case ends. Check the Kiowa court file for the case outcome and the sheriff's entry for the actual departure.

Oklahoma's jail-register rule provides the firmest field list. Under 51 O.S. §24A.8, public jail or booking data includes the person's identity, date and cause of commitment, committing authority, whether the commitment concerns a criminal offense, a description, and the date or manner of discharge or escape. Retention is also unpublished. If an old entry is no longer held, ask for a written explanation and then use the court file, ODOC closed records, or another identified custodian. Under Oklahoma's expungement law, a qualifying court order can seal records. It does not change the historical custody event, and it does not make sealed material public.

Find Kiowa County Released Inmates
Start with the last known custodian and build a custody timeline. Do not choose one source simply because it is easiest to search. Each agency proves only its own segment. This method also prevents a county transfer from being mislabeled as freedom. Use exact names, dates of birth, booking or DOC numbers, case numbers, and agency names to resolve identity. Similar names and jurisdiction errors are common.
- Call the Kiowa County Sheriff and ask for affirmative discharge or transfer details tied to a specific booking.

ODOC Kiowa Release Search
The ODOC offender search applies when a Kiowa record shows transfer to state custody or another state-corrections connection. It does not contain every person released from the county jail. Search by DOC number when known because it is the strongest key. Otherwise use name and date of birth, consider alias and similar-sounding options, complete the CAPTCHA, and compare every identifier. Kiowa County Recent Releases
No official Kiowa County, Oklahoma roster, recent-release view, 24-hour feed, 72-hour feed, archive, update schedule, or retention window was verified. The official sheriff page supplies direct contact details instead. This means the fallback is the main method: phone or email the Hobart sheriff, ask for the individual discharge event, and request the existing jail-register entry. The office may provide records about named people without creating a countywide list.
A serious name collision can mislead a search. Prominent results for Kiowa County may point to Kansas, where pages show Kansas statutes, Kansas towns, 620 telephone numbers, and custody locations such as Ford, Kingman, Meade, Pratt, or Sedgwick. A separate Kiowa sheriff result belongs to Colorado. Neither is evidence about an Oklahoma release. Verify the state, agency, area code, and statutory citations before relying on any page.

Getting Home After Kiowa Release
No official Kiowa County Jail release time, exit door, property pickup method, weekend rule, or transportation instruction was located. Do not infer those details from another jail. Ask the sheriff for current logistics when coordinating a pickup. A release time can also move because of court paperwork, a hold, transport, or the processing needed to identify the correct receiving authority.
The Kiowa Tribe Re-Entry Program plan provides a real local angle for eligible tribal clients. Its planning form asks whether family or a friend will provide pickup and whether a bus ticket is needed. The program is based in Carnegie and also addresses identification, health continuity, legal issues, registry duties, and supervision. It is not a county release desk, a custody database, or a service promised to every person released in Kiowa County.
Kiowa Reentry After Release
The Kiowa Tribe documents a named Re-Entry Program in Carnegie for eligible tribal clients. Its pre-release plan covers identification, transport, unresolved legal issues, health-care continuity, registration duties, and the type of supervision that may follow custody. The plan distinguishes people with no supervision from those on ODOC probation, post-imprisonment supervision, or supervision through another jurisdiction. That makes it a useful planning source once the responsible custodian and release event are known.
The program is not part of Kiowa County government. It does not hold the sheriff's jail register, confirm that someone left custody, supervise every ODOC case, or replace an official locator. Eligibility also should not be assumed. Use the program for its documented client services, then keep custody verification with the sheriff, ODOC, court, or other agency that created the record.
Kiowa County Release Supervision
Parole, probation, and full discharge are different states. The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board handles parole consideration. ODOC Probation and Parole Services supervises community cases. Kiowa County is assigned geographically to the Cordell office at the Washita County Jail, 400 NE McClary Street, Cordell, with phone 580-832-5059. Search ODOC first, then call with a DOC number to confirm that Cordell holds the specific case. Specialized or transferred cases may be routed elsewhere.
A parole docket does not prove release. A favorable action can precede final action, stipulations, release planning, another sentence, or a detainer. Verify physical departure through ODOC, VINE, or discharge records. Written proof that supervision ended comes from ODOC's records and discharge channel. Kiowa County Release Alerts
OK VINE offers a statewide person search and free custody-event notifications by supported channels. Select Oklahoma, search by name or identifying number, narrow the match, and check the contributing agency. A result may report release or out-of-custody wording and an event date, but labels vary by contributor. A VINE event does not rule out another hold. PPB parole notifications use a separate written victim-notification process, and certain DOC mental-health transfers can interrupt VINE coverage.
Federal and immigration searches answer narrower questions. The BOP Inmate Locator covers federal inmates from 1982 onward and can show a release date or no-longer-in-BOP-custody result. That proves exit from BOP only. The ICE Online Detainee Locator focuses on current detention. No match is not historical release proof. USMS has no comparable public historical locator, so a records request or the federal case file may be needed.
Note: Use a federal or immigration route only when a case-specific record identifies that authority as the custodian.
Compare Kiowa Custody Records
Conflicting dates often describe different events. A court order date, Kiowa discharge time, ODOC intake, projected release date, parole action, physical prison release, and final sentence discharge can all be valid. Preserve each label and source. The right record depends on both the agency and whether the question concerns present custody, a past release, or ongoing supervision.

Kiowa County Jail Project
The county's 2023 jail notice described the Kiowa County Jail as a 1904 facility and proposed using the old National Guard Armory as a replacement. County agendas still referred to matters concerning a new detention facility project in 2026, while current reporting continued to identify operations at the Kiowa County Jail. Those sources establish an ongoing project, not a completed move.
Release requests should therefore use the sheriff's currently published address at 301 S. Jefferson unless the county issues a later official change. No capacity, construction-completion date, new release desk, or alternate operating address is supported. Historical references to the Hobart Community Work Center also require care. It is absent from ODOC's current list and must not be treated as an active jail or current release source.
Kiowa County Release Facilities
The Kiowa County Jail is the only verified operating local custodial facility. Its sheriff keeps the local booking and discharge event. Direct releases may return to the community; transfers continue into another system. The Former Hobart Community Work Center is included only to resolve stale historical references. People once held there must be researched through ODOC historical or closed records, not through a current local roster.
